Center for Success Literacy Task Force – April 17
The Literacy Task Force will continue their focus on ICLP Alignment: Next Steps for Educator Preparation Programs. Next steps include: Discussing the self-assessment, creating a resource area for studying for the content test on our Literacy Padlet, and planning a PDN for all students to prepare them for the content test.

The Illinois Numeracy Plan Task Force is meeting to plan for the summer conference and fall sharing.
Teacher Leader Task Force – April 17
The Teacher Leader Task Force is working on an article on Teacher Leadership for Voices March 15th Call. They are also planning a panel to be aired in the evening to address the multiple opportunities for teachers to engage in Teacher Leadership through work that is underway across the state.
Center Special Education Task Force Research Project – April 17
The Task Force on Special Education is developing a research plan to examine the state of SPED Teacher Retention in Illinois.
Center for Success Annual Conference Planning Commitee
Annual Center Conference Committee is meeting to plan the Center Annual Conference set for Saturday, June 6 at Lewis University. The theme is “Coloring Outside the Lines” and will feature keynotes, Maurice McDavid and Lissette Jacobson, co-authors of Your Words Are Fire and renown author, social activist and professor of Black Studies, Dr. David Stovall!

Striking for Equity – Sunday, April 12
Join the Center for our annual fundraiser to support historically marginalized and under-represented youth in pursuit of college as well increasing the number of diverse teacher candidates in our most under-served schools.
Bowl with us on Sunday, April 12th at Fox Bowl, 1101 Butterfield Road in Wheaton, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for fun, fellowship, food, and prizes as well as our Split the Pot Raffle and Silent Auction.
The $35 registration fee includes shoe rental, 90 minutes of bowling, pizza, a salad buffet, and dessert.
